This album is unashamedly doom and proudly proclaims itself as such from the first negative chord. The atmosphere is profoundly different from, say, ''alkahest''. quite fitting for italy's notoriously enigmatic and stylistically capricious doom maestro, really! the emphasis here is on torturous, droning, mammoth dirges, almost VITUS-esque in magnitude, but less anguished and desperate feeling.
